________________________________________________________
Playing the game is more than just the score, it’s about getting kids active and teaching them new things - that's what we're all about! Participation in a team sport lays the foundation for community, teamwork and collaboration - values that your child will use throughout their lifetime. Your player and their experience with us matters most.

“I’ve missed more than 9,000 shots in my career.  I’ve lost almost 300 games.  Twenty-six times, I’ve been trusted to take the game-winning shot and missed.  I’ve failed over and over again in my life.  And that is why I succeed” (Michael Jordan).

Here's what you will get through Royal City Ball Hockey:

  • We support our players ensuring that they have a safe place to play. Our programs are for everyone - no child will ever be excluded or cut from a team. Every child will play every game.

  • One game a week at one area and consistent times - No traveling. Consistent times allow you to plan the rest of your life.

  • We believe in working together, not only while playing the game but also with parents, our staff and volunteers. We believe in adhering to a Code of Conduct for both players and their parents that encourages respect for each other as well as officials. We believe that playing the game is only part of why people play.

  • The value of teamwork, fair play, and good sportsmanship goes well beyond the game. We believe in a positive playing environment, one where teams respect and support each other on and off the rink. We believe in working together to achieve success.

  • EXTRA VALUE: Jesse’s on-site restaurant! Watch the game from the restaurant above while you enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner.

"Thanks Jackie! We have thoroughly enjoyed watching Jack grow while playing ball hockey over the years and appreciate all the work that you do for these kids to have a great time each session! I have highly recommended your program to others and will continue to do so! :)"

"Good afternoon Jackie, thank you again for an amazing year of ball hockey. You guys run a class act! Only reason we came back this year is because of how great your program is. God knows I didn’t have it in my schedule!"

"Thanks so much, Jackie!!! You run the league soo well! The kids love it!"

Learn To Play

This is for kids ages 4 and 5. They learn hockey fundamentals including holding the stick, passing, shooting, stick handling and agility. We start each week with a fun warm-up to get them excited about playing hockey. We finish with a short game. (we highly recommend starting kids at age 4 and not younger for a better experience)

U9
This is for players ages 6, 7 and 8 in the current year that they are playing. 6 year olds should have some hockey experience. If not, you might want to consider starting them in our Learn To Play program (above). This program includes a combination of skill development including passing, shooting, stick handling and an introduction to game rules. Experienced 8 year olds can play in our U10 division.

U10, U13, U15 and U19
Players will play one reffed game per week - full rules (3-goal maximum per player per game).

The emphasis is participation. The program includes a sweater and promotional item (equipment bag or water bottle) that your child keeps.
