About Our Youth Leagues

We've been providing a place for youth to learn and play ball hockey in Guelph since 2014. We run House League level leagues dedicated to providing a safe and enjoyable place to play.

The Royal City Ball Hockey Youth Experience is defined as:

Organization and Communication

  • We believe in good communication with our parents - you always know when to be at the rink
  • Professional management of our programs - someone is always in charge and accessible
  • Willingness to accommodate “Buddy” requests on teams
  • Owners/Management is reachable by email with a timely response

Convenience

  • Easy online registration
  • Games are always in one place - no additional travel is necessary

Professional and Supportive Programs

  • Our staff are trained to work with the kids to positively teach them the game and to coach them while on the floor during warm-up and game time
  • Parent volunteers are encouraged to help out on benches without the pressure or responsibility to be “the coach”
  • Emphasis on fair play (3 goal max per child per game) and equal playing time

Our Focus is Fun

  • We strive to ensure our youth players have equal playing time regardless of their skill
  • No tryouts no cuts
  • Our biggest compliment is a smiling face

How We’re Different

  • We believe in being a part of and giving back to our community. We support our youth players ensuring that they have a safe place to play. Our programs are for everyone - no child will ever be excluded or cut from a team. Every child will play every game.
  • We believe in working together, not only while playing the game but also with parents, our staff, and volunteers. We believe in adhering to a Code of Conduct for both players and their parents that encourages respect for each other as well as officials. We believe that playing the game is only part of why people play.
  • The value of teamwork, fair play and good sportsmanship goes well beyond the game.
  • We believe in a positive playing environment, one where teams respect and support each other on and off the rink. We believe in working together to achieve success.
